Chief Executive Officer
Derrick, Founder and Chairman of Derrimon, is also the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Derrick amassed over 20 years experience in the fields of sales, marketing and general management during his extensive career at GraceKennedy Limited where he held several managerial positions such as Area Manager, Divisional Manger, and Business Unit Manager. Derrick is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Studies and a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.
Human Resource Manager
Monique serves as the Company Secretary and the Human Resource Manager at Derrimon Trading. She brings to the Board extensive experience in the service and retail industry in particular, Customer Service Delivery. Monique also serves as a Director of the Rescue Package Foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University College of the Caribbean (UCC).
Chief Financial Officer
Ian has served as a member of our board of directors since 2009. Ian joined Derrimon in June 2011 as a seasoned financial and risk manager with senior level experience in the areas of treasury, corresponding banking, corporate finance, securities trading and asset management. He has held positions at Royal Bank of Canada (formerly RBTT Jamaica) in the capacity of Assistant General Manager for Treasury and Corresponding Banking and later as the General Manager of RBTT Securities Jamaica Limited, a subsidiary which he was commissioned to establish. Prior to joining Derrimon, Ian was Senior Vice President in charge of Asset Management & Advisory Services at First Global Financial Services. Ian is a certified public accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Master of Science Degree in Accounting from The University of the West Indies. Ian also completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton Business School, the University of Pennsylvania.
General Manager – Distribution
Sheldon joined Derrimon in January 2012 to oversee Derrimon’s marketing and brand development and was subsequently promoted to Divisional Manager for the Distribution Division in 2014. He was then appointed as General Manager in 2020. Prior to his appointment, Sheldon garnered invaluable experience in the banking sector at the National Commercial Bank. Initially joining the Bank under its highly sought Management Trainee Programme, Sheldon has held positions in the areas of marketing and strategic planning. Sheldon possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Studies and Accounting (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies and a Master in Business Administration from Florida International University.
General Manager - Retail
Craig previously held the position of Commercial Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 2020. As the General Manager, Craig has operational oversight for the Sampars Division which is the retail arm of Derrimon. Prior to joining Derrimon, Craig was the Managing Director at Mountain Mist Farms Limited, a juice manufacturing operation, for 5 years. He was subsequently recruited in 2007, as General Manager for the Jamaican division of Canadian salt fish company, Canjam. Craig graduated from the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology. He later received a Master in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
